Link2Feed separates from parent company to focus on food banks

Last year we were able to touch the lives of over 70,000 people at nearly 300 food banks and food programs across Canada.

We were flooded with stories about how Link2Feed has provided food banks with the data needed to better serve clients and how our streamlined intake and reporting process has reduced administrative duties, allowing food bankers to focus on feeding the hungry in their community.

Hearing these stories, and seeing how our software is changing lives, has inspired us to demonstrate our commitment to food bankers.

As of January 2014, Link2Feed is a stand-alone company focused solely on providing the most innovative software solutions to food banks.

On December 27th, 2013, Link2Feed’s parent company, Innivity Marketing Group, was sold to another agency and our staff transitioned to focusing on food banks full-time.

We also invested in an improved server structure to prepare for our version 1.2 rollout (set to launch in early 2014!) and to ensure optimal portal speed and performance for our growing client base.

Through Canada… and Beyond

The Ontario Association of Food Banks announced in September that it is purchasing the licensing rights to rollout the Link2Feed software for their 127 members across the province over the next year. Several other provincial associations are considering doing the same for their membership.

Over the past year, Link2Feed has also started serving a number of food banks in Western Canada and we currently offer 24-hour support to better assist food banks across the country. We hope to be working with food banks in every province over the next year.

2013 also marked the start of Link2Feed’s global efforts, with visits to the Trussell Trust and Fare Share in the United Kingdom last September. We will be returning to England this year to learn more about how we can support the growing food bank industry in the UK.

We look forward to working with our new partners and providing software solutions for food banks around the world. We hope that together we can raise awareness about hunger in developed nations and use real-time data to advocate on behalf of food bank users.

More to Come in 2014

This year will host many more exciting things for Link2Feed and our clients.

We now have a new President, Emily Branton, who has been a key part of Link2Feed’s growth and commitment to food banking over the past year (to read more about Emily, click here).

Also, thanks to the overwhelming number of requests from our clients, we’ve started the Research and Development process for adding new modules to Link2Feed, including Inventory Management, Volunteer Management and Christmas Hampers.  It’s the suggestions from food bankers like you that bring forth these new features, so we encourage you to send your requests

To make sure food bankers have all the information they need to ensure everyone gets a meal, we will be issuing a monthly newsletter full of updates, stories from our clients and tips and tricks on how to get the most out of Link2Feed’s features.

The amazing people we have met over the past three years and the difference Link2Feed is making for them, has inspired us to commit to making a lasting impression on the food banking industry.

We are so excited to be sharing our news with you and look forwarding to working together to feed our world, one link at a time.
